MCCD Education Program Registration Procedure
How do I register for the Education Programs?
We are currently accepting registration for summer programs. To be included in the fall resident lottery, your registration requests must be received by August 19, 2010, 5:00 pm.
Our programs are published four times a year in our Landscapes newsletter and online on our website. You may register for programs as soon as they become available online. The programs become available online by the following schedule:
Spring Programs in March, April, May and Summer Camps in June, July, and August: Online February 1.
Summer Programs (not including Summer Camps) in June, July, and August: Online May 1.
Fall Programs in September, October, and November: Online August 1.
Winter Programs in December, January, and February: Online November 1.
The initial registration session is processed in a lottery system to ensure that all in-county subscribers have received their Landscapes newsletter and have had time to submit their requests. After the lottery deadline, all in-county and out-of-county resident registration requests will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis as program space allows.
Registration is required for all programs and is accepted at Prairieview Education Center in Crystal Lake. Copies of the registration form are acceptable as long as they are legible.

Mail: Mail registration form to Program Registration, Prairieview Education Center, 2112 Behan Road, Crystal Lake, Illinois, 60014.
Drop Off: Visit the Prairieview Education Center at 2112 Behan Road in Crystal Lake. From the intersection of Routes 31 and 176 in Crystal Lake travel East on Route 176 approximately three miles to Behan Road. Turn right onto Behan Road and follow the signs to the entrance.
November - March Hours:
Monday – Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Saturday: 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Sunday: 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
April - October Hours:
Monday - Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Sunday: 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Lottery
Participants in McHenry County Conservation District programs and visitors at our sites may be photographed for use in District publications, promotions, and on the District web site. All photos taken on District property are the sole property of the District.
After the lottery is complete, a confirmation will be mailed to you to verify your space in the program or on the waiting list. Occasionally our programs require a nominal fee. Payment must accompany registration unless otherwise noted.
If I have questions on how to register or I need to cancel my registration, who should I contact?
Promptly call the Prairieview Education Center at (815) 479-5779 so registrants on waiting lists can be contacted. Unless otherwise noted in a program description, an advance notice of 7 days is required to receive a refund.
