Family Exploration Packs
Create your own adventure at the McHenry County Conservation District’s Prairieview Education Center! Family Exploration Packs contain seasonal activities for you and your family to enjoy during your visit to Prairieview. Adult supervision is required and the packs are due back to the center a half hour before closing. The packs are free of charge, however a driver's license is required as a

Map and Compass Self-Guided Packs
These packs are designed to be used on the map and compass course at Prairieview Education Center. The pack contains maps, compasses and instructions for map reading activities and compass use. One adult for every four children is recommended when using. Each pack has supplies for up to 24 children. Adult supervision is required. The packs are free of charge; however, a driver’s license is required as a deposit and must be left in the center during use. For groups over 16, an educational permit is needed.
