The role of citizen members is to provide recommendations to the MCCD Board of Trustees on issues relating to District services, programs and special projects.

Advisory committee members are appointed by the MCCD Board of Trustees to serve a three-year renewable term. The committee members monitor the interests of county residents; explore opportunities that will enrich and support MCCD’s mission; participate in the District’s Master Site Plan process; and address other District issues as directed.

Applicants should have a background relevant to the environmental issues of the District and to the focus of the committee for which they are applying. Applicants should be able to attend quarterly and special call meetings of the assigned committee.
